Son is accepted to CSULB as a Comp Sci pre-major. Per the website, this is normal procedure. Students have to do well in Calculus and Physics intro courses to declare the major.
There are no data that I could find to show the number applied, number accepted, target number for major, number of B.S. degrees conferred per year. According to the online Common Dataset, 1% of bachelor's degrees at CSULB are in CS, 7% for all Engineering. Anyone have more precise data please?
He is going to SIR, as this is his only firm acceptance as of now pending UCR's waitlist decision. Would anyone care to lend some insight please? How impacted are the math and physics classes? CS lower division classes? Is CCC with transfer to UC clearly a better path? What are grad school prospects coming from LB?
Thanks all!
