I have received the official email of my acceptance from CSULB on the 16th and tried today on the 17th to activate my student account on myCSULB. I will not let me get past the first page, and says that my information is wrong. Is anyone else experiencing this problem? Does anyone know what to do?

CSULB pre-nursing advice
Hi, I'm a high school student (class of '19) atm but I've decided my major (nursing) for college. I just would like to know information and advice ahead of time so I'm prepared. Pls bare with me, I'd appreciate your help!
Questions:
1. What's your opinion going to csulb instead of a com. college?
2. What are some things you wished people told you about before entering the pre-nursing program?
**I heard that you must have a really good gpa to actually get into the nursing program and its tough
3. Is that true?^
4. Anything else I should know?
5. Any books, websites, study tips you'd recommend?
Thank u so much (:

Long Beach local rejected from CSULB. Should I appeal?
Should I appeal? I’m planning to transfer from Cypress college to Csulb. I graduated from Millikan back in 2014 and I literally live 2 streets down from the campus. I have a 2.7 gpa and got rejected admission. People say if you’re a local and graduated from Millikan you’re guaranteed priority. Well here I am and got rejected. I’m getting discouraged because I’m afraid that my other schools won’t accept me and I worked really hard to transfer. I thought it would be convienient since I live a few streets down and I can save on gas lol.

Transfer and Housing
Was accepted as a transfer. What are people thinking of doing for housing? Off-campus or on? I have no idea what's better or where I want to live, what dorms are good, price differences, etc.

What are my chances at CSU-Long Beach?
I'm coming into my senior year of high school(c/o 2018.) I absolutely love CSU- Long Beach, and I've pretty much written off UCLA as being too much of a reach considering my academic performance. I've been researching, but some sites say I have a >50% chance, while others say I have a <50% chance.
My cumulative GPA is a 3.66-3.7(I just finished taking an extra class over the summer that I aced, so I know that will help my GPA a tiny bit.)
In middle school I took 4 high school courses: Algebra 1, Geometry, Spanish 1, and Spanish 2, but I got C's in three of those courses, and a B in one.
I have only taken one AP class my entire high school career, which was AP Language Composition my junior year, that I got an A in.
My SAT score is 1200: 660 Reading and 540 Math.
Unfortunately(or fortunately?), I don't live in California, I'm in Maryland.

Chances of acceptance? California Resident
I'm kinda scared that I'm not gonna get accepted into Long Beach cuz I'm not from that area in California.
I live in the Bay Area aka Northern California. My scores and GPA aren't terrible:
SAT (redesigned): 1300
GPA (the number that showed up on the CSU application): 3.83. Apparently this is because of a glitch but idk.
GPA weighted: 4.0 (from grades 10 and 11)....this is the GPA that should've shown up
GPA Unweighted: 3.76 (grades 10 and 11)
Eligibility index, using my 4.0 GPA: 4500
Eligibility index, using CSU application generated GPA of 3.38: 4364
In terms of all of this, I'm more than eligible for this University.
I took 3 AP exams, and got two 3s and one 4.
I also took 1 dual enrollment course my junior year, got a C, and 2 courses my senior year, and got an A and B.
But ahhhh I'm so scared cuz I read an article that said they give priority to local residents, with super low SAT and ACT scores like a 1300 and 17, respectively. And GPAs a whole grade point lower than mine.
Is anyone in a similar situation?
Also, how bad of grades can I get senior year? I already got 2 Cs my first semester, both in AP courses, which probably looks bad but oh well. The rest of them are As.

Admissions Decisions Before All Material Due? EDIT: NEVERMIND
EDIT: it seems it is that Long Beach decides before the program does. Doesn't make a lot of sense to me but oh well.

CSULB SOCIAL WORK FAL 2018
Hello,
I was wondering if anyone has received any notifications of their admissions rescissions for CSULB’s Social Work Program for the Fall of 2018?
Please let me know when as well, and if you checked using the self service application, OR if you got an email from csulb!

Question about Official Transcript (CSULB conditional admission)
Hi.
So I got offered conditional admission to CSULB and I ordered an official transcript just now. But on my order summary it says:
Order Date: 02/21/2018 at 03:54 PM CT
Order Number: *********
Student Name: *********
Delivery: Send Now (May not include current courses)
Total Charge: $.00
The admission decision e-mail from CSULB says "transcripts should include spring term enrollment where appropriate", but the ordering service says it "may not include current courses". There was any other option I could choose other than "send now" because other options were for delaying delivery.
Is my transcript not going to include my current courses? I'm confused :/

Confused about admissions???
Ok so I got a D- my second semester junior year for math analysis but i still got provisional admission to cal state long beach. However after you’ve been accepted, one of their admission requirements is “Completion of all CSU A-G subject requirements with a grade of “C” or higher by the end of the Spring semester prior to enrollment”. So after I send my transcript are they gonna rescind me or something bc of that grade? All my other grades are passing except for this one.

Transfer AA/AS Verification??
Anyone else get accepted as a Associates Degree for transfer student?
My question is how long does it take for them to process the verification? I talked to my community college counselor and she said that they have already sent out the verification to CSULB.

CSULB TRANSFER FALL 2018 SOCIAL WORK.
Good luck to everyone who applied into the social work major. I turned in my separate application for the department on Tuesday. Today is the deadline. Does anyone know how long I’d wait to get an email with my admissions decision?

Housing Waitlist
So I know that housing applications start March 5th, but I was wondering about when does it become full AKA you're on the housing waitlist? I'm a music education major and I've been accepted to the Bob Cole Conservatory, however I have been told that the university acceptance will come much later and I'm worried I wont be able to apply for dorms in time by the time I get it. Thanks guys :)

CSULB Spring '18 Transfer - Chance Me?
TL;DR first:
- left CA HS @16, got CA equivalent of GED
- last 6 years in CA community college, lots of W's (family/financial reasons)
- recent history of good grades/attendance
- attempting to transfer to CSULB Spring '18 as Psych. major w/ AA-T Psychology & ~3.6 GPA
- Chances?
Full Story:
- Left California High School @ 16y/o by taking the CHSPE (essentially I have the legal equivalent of a HS diploma, like a GED).
- Immediately began taking classes at Moorpark College (SoCal Community College, very good school, but not in local-area). Got As & Bs for a couple semesters part-time.
- Spent the next 5 years having very mixed success at school - some semesters of straight A's full-time, some semesters of full class loads dropped with Ws, some semesters not attended, numerous major-changes. Mostly due to fairly severe family/financial issues, as well as some immaturity on my part. About 75/137 units attempted vs. earned.
- For about the last year-and-a-half, I've taken full-time class loads, gotten ~3.7 GPA in those classes, and will be getting an AA-T in Psychology this semester, Fall 2017. My CSU transferable GPA after the AA-T adjustment should be ~3.6. I'd really like to go to CSULB because they have a robust Human Factors Psychology department - the field I've been working to get into for the last 2 years.
Will there be a portion of the supplemental application where I can try to explain the circumstances behind my academic history? And if so, where would you put my chances at getting into CSULB this Spring?
Side-Note: I took Psych 101 years ago before I was a Psych major, and it's one of my few C's - I've gotten straight A's in every other major-prep Psych class I've taken since, however. Will this be a negative for admissions at all?
Also interested in CSUF chances, as well as CSUCI (backup school, but I'm in the local-area and am pretty bullish about my chances there as an AA-T referral admit).
Thanks so much in advance! I'm really anxious to move onto the next step in my college career after so long - I finally feel ready.

No csulb or sdsu decision yet
I still haven't received a decision from csulb or sdsu and I'm starting to get worried. I applied and was accepted to csuf however so I have some hope. I applied to all 3 as a nursing major but my EI was too low for csuf so I changed my major to Biology. They sent me an email that let me know they switched my major to undeclared after I was rejected from nursing school, and then I changed that to a Bio major.
I already know I won't be accepted into the other 2 nursing schools either but what I want to know is if long beach and san diego will notify me to change my major beforehand or if I'll just be flat our rejected if I can not get into the nursing school?
my stats:
UW gpa: 3.65
W gpa: 3.84
SAT: 1230

CSULB - Waitlist
I received a letter stating that I would hear at the end of the month. Does that mean I'm wait-listed? What's the chances for waitlisted students that are not local?

Looking for off-campus housing/roomate(s)
Hi! I'm Hannah. I am 20 years old and I currently live in Chicago, Illinois. I have been accepted and will be transferring to CSULB for the fall of 2018. Does anyone have any advice in terms of finding roommates for off campus housing (apartments, etc.)? Since I live so far and will not know anyone, it is really hard for me to find people. Plus I am not familiar with the area at all. This whole process is pretty overwhelming... so any sort of help/advice would very much be appreciated! :)

Hello applicants,
I created this thread since there wasnt any for CSULB 2022.
Did anyone get an admission notification from LB?

Marine Bio
I know this is likely an impacted major, but would anyone happen to know how competitive this major is to get into? Any stats would be really helpful. Just curious about my chances. Thanks!
