2018 CSU Long Beach Provisional acceptance
I got accepted to CSU Long Beach a few months ago for the class of 2022. However it was a provisional acceptance. I am also staying around and school around so i would wualify for the local area admission. What exactly is provisional accceptance? I am worried because my GPA dropped from 3.18 to a 3.08. I also got a d in AP Gov and 4c's and one b first smester. I am on pace to get a 3.16 gpa second semester. I was wondring if thiswould result in CUSLB revoking my admittance because i got a D. Can i retake it before i send my transcript to. them?

Looking for off-campus housing/roomate(s)
Hi! I'm Hannah. I am 20 years old and I currently live in Chicago, Illinois. I have been accepted and will be transferring to CSULB for the fall of 2018. Does anyone have any advice in terms of finding roommates for off campus housing (apartments, etc.)? Since I live so far and will not know anyone, it is really hard for me to find people. Plus I am not familiar with the area at all. This whole process is pretty overwhelming... so any sort of help/advice would very much be appreciated! :)

Housing Waitlist
So I know that housing applications start March 5th, but I was wondering about when does it become full AKA you're on the housing waitlist? I'm a music education major and I've been accepted to the Bob Cole Conservatory, however I have been told that the university acceptance will come much later and I'm worried I wont be able to apply for dorms in time by the time I get it. Thanks guys :)

Why does CSULB get so many applicants to the point of having a 33% acceptance rate?
According to 2016 fall enrollment, CSU Long Beach is the most applied to CSU out of all 23 with 61,000 applicants, and with the exception of SDSU that follows with 60,000 the other CSUs aren't even close. Most CSUs have less than half the applicants that CSULB and SDSU have which is very interesting because while SDSU's campus is nice and San Diego really only has USD, UCSD, and SDSU. Los Angeles has a bunch of colleges, yet CSULB has the highest amount of applicants. Is there a reason why? I've been to the campus and IMO, SDSU's campus is 5 times nicer looking than CSULB, what is so special about CSULB to the average applicant student?

Spring 2019 Transfer Question
Hello.
I'm currently enrolled at a CC here in California. I was supposed to transfer to San Jose State pursuing a degree in Psychology this Fall semester. Over the past few months I've given a lot of thought about my future and asked myself if I really wanted to major in Psychology.
So I've decided that I'm going to stay at my CC and become a Geography major. My school offers an ADT in Geography, however I have not taken any of the classes yet required for the ADT. Although I have the opportunity to complete all 7 of those courses this upcoming Fall semester. I know I can do it.
My question is: Will CSULB still consider my application? Of course I've already completed 60 units of classes, as well as all of the GE requirements and the Core Four classes.
As of now, when I complete the application next month in August. My GPA will be 3.42, with no courses yet to be completed for my geography major, I will have to indicate those courses as In Progress. How will my application look? I know it's an unconventional route but I still have a chance right? I really don't want to wait another year.
Thank you

Is it hard to have a college experience at Cal State Long Beach?
I am considering applying to Cal State Long Beach next fall, however I am worried it will be hard to have a true college experience there. They don’t garuntee freshman housing and many students commute. Will it be hard to have a college experience at CSULB? If not it might not be worth applying since I am competitive for most of the UCs.

Spring upper division transfer admission 2019!!!
Thought everyone looking to transfer to csulb could post here with questions!! What are my chances of getting in? I realize how the acceptance rate has been decreasing over the years, which makes me nervous.
Major: Civil Engineering
GPA: 3.39
Prereqs: All main prereqs done, except taking one extra recommended prereq this fall
Golden 4: done, all with A's
Local area: from SD, so probably not
I also have an associates degree (not an ADT)
Does being female increase my chances?

But i have question on my application now.. Since I only have ONE major requirement to take this upcoming Fall semester at my CC, will CSULB still consider my application and do i still have a chance to get admit? (I have completed my golden 4 courses and 60 transferable units, but ONLY ONE MAJOR REQUIREMENT NEED TO TAKE!!!!) Should i still try to apply even though i have not completed this major course?
I am concerned about this question and i don't want to wait another year to apply for again..!

Please help me, I think I may have screwed up massively with SOAR at CSULB
So right now the only thing I need to do is finish my SOAR ONLINE PRE SURVEY for my Oritentation date (August third) and the Cal Sate LongBeach made it extremely clear to do it a week before hand. But, lemme give some background info.
I know for a fact I payed the $62 dollars for my SOAR date and an email of me saying I payed $62.
I'm extremely worried about the ONLINE PRE-SOAR Program Survey. The emails and mentioning of it say to finish the survey a week prior to your SOAR date.
I never got an email detailing me about my SOAR Date or anything about the ONLINE-PRE SOAR Survey. At first I thought it was another CSULB Survey, but I was wrong.
And the topic of the $62 is weird because I got notifications of needing to finish Calculus placement exams that mentioned my SOAR date, and on the website it says
"Orientation Fee:
$62.00
Orientation Balance:
$0.00"
Does that mean I didn't pay it?
I know for a fact the college received $62 and I have the email.
Its now a day after a week prior, and the offices aren't open for communications till Monday.
Will I get kicked out of the school for completing it late? Will I not receive my classes on my orientation date?
I'm extremely scared, please help :c
The SOAR ONLINE PRE-SURVEY was no-where to be seen on my login.
Not in the CSULB icon. Nor in My Academics.
Please help me. I don't want to be kicked out of an amazing college over such a stupid reason :c

I was wondering if anyone has received any notifications of their admissions rescissions for CSULB’s Social Work Program for the Fall of 2018?
